What does The Welsh Department at Llanhari have to offer? We strive to offer a diverse and dynamic curriculum that will help each pupil develop unique skills and prepare them for future careers, their social and personal paths. We also strive to ensure that pupils feel that they are studying much more than a language within the Department. The units of work will give an insight into Welsh literature culture, and history. Achieving a qualification in Welsh has never been more relevant as we march towards 2050 to hopefully reach the target of a million Welsh speakers. We aim to ensure that pupils study a variety of interesting topics and themes in all Key Stages. The Department frequently organises residential visits, theatre trips and sessions with guest authors and poets to ensure that we offer far more than a subject studied on a school timetable.
