The ICT Department aims to deliver an exciting curriculum that develops the skills and knowledge of our pupils to succeed in all parts of life. The aim of the department is to present ICT and computer science as an integral factor of society at home, work and leisure. We provide a wide curriculum, that stimulates interest, curiosity and enjoyment of the subject.
We teach our pupils:
- to use a variety of software packages
- to keep safe online
- to understand the fundamental principles and concepts of Computer Science
- to develop problem solving skills by empowering the pupils to think creatively: innovatively, analytically, logically and critically
- to understand the ethical, social, economic and political impacts of the use of digital technology to individual, organisations and society
