Promoting Wales and the Welsh language is a central part of our school’s ethos.
Most of our pupils come from homes where English is spoken and so it is vital that we develop pupils’ love and confidence in the Welsh language and culture.
We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities and opportunities throughout the medium of Welsh and aim to consistently emphasise the advantages of bilingualism. The primary department has already achieved the gold award status of the Language Charter scheme (Siarter Iaith) and the secondary department has firm plans in place in order to achieve similar status.
