The Skills Challenge Certificate Department aims to develop the skills and confidence of all our pupils and equip them to be global citizens who belong to a society where fair and equal rights are exercised. We want to develop pupils who contribute to their society and with a strong awareness of the world around them. Our curriculum follows the four challenges (modules) of this GCSE qualification. We want to nurture principled and informed citizens through the Community Challenge. Learners’ ability to be enterprising and creative contributors is expanded through the Enterprise & Employability Challenge. Problem solving skills, and critical thinking are promoted particularly through the Global Citizenship Challenge. Through the Individual Project, learners are given the freedom to be ambitious and capable with purposeful guidance.
